Good line out the back The cooker was very useful in the cold spell. The lighting was bright and plentiful & used eco bulbs. Better than in most rentals!! Load shedding did not occur here which was a relief! However, that would not have been problematical as there was a gas heater with 3 levels. We were toasty & comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. The kitchen had every tool you could possibly need! Plenty of china glasses and cutlery. Good wifi.

We really appreciated that the family rooms have a room within them with the children's room, which helps a lot with getting the child to bed and also provides more privacy for parents. We also appreciated that there are people serving breakfast, rather than a serve-yourself buffet. Excellent facilities, including a very nice lounge with a pool table and an poolside area with table tennis. Don't miss the excellent mining museum at the back.

Frontier River Resort ligger i Sydafrika, 6 km från Vioolsdrift som gränsar till Namibia. Kottoshoop ligger 5 km bort. Resorten ligger vid floden Orange. The grounds and luxury tents were in a nice setting with a lot of seasonal planting upgrades, like their own orange grove, that I would love to return to see in the future. Because the facility is on a hillside, owners were concerned with my walking with a crutch but I managed well. Really enjoyed falling asleep with the tent flaps open so I could look at stars, wake to first sun light and bird song. Everything from bedding to towels and toiletries made me feel like I was in a luxury spa. I really enjoyed the owners young son who was concerned about compression wraps on my legs. He sat me in a chair in front of the tent, went and got my book and kept me entertained until my husband came back from his walk. Such a big heart, full of compassion, in such a small body.
